Science Laboratory

Science Laboratories at Peculiar International School are designed to encourage and kindle curiosity of the students. The science laboratories are equipped with the latest equipment and most modern apparatus.

Experimental science is entirely based on accurate observation recorded in the laboratories using proper instruments.Each laboratory is provided with enough working area, storage, preparation room and a separate room for the Subject Head.

Since technology plays a vital role in present day learning, the laboratories are provided with computers with Internet access and LCD projectors. Special care has been given to the safety aspects in the laboratories.

With the highly sophisticated and fully equipped laboratories and the wisdom of experienced faculty, the students will stand to benefit immensely in the pursuit of scientific excellence.

ICT Laboratory

The School offers Information Technology across the gamut of IT activity, from hardware, to software, information management, and multimedia design.

In the Computer Lab student to computer ratio is 1:1, enabling every student the opportunity of e-learning. Students can access a wide variety of software applications and hardware resources which contribute immensely toward our holistic and efficient teaching and learning process. We have installed overhead projectors, sound and video systems, networked computers and many more to aid our work.

This networked universe of multi-media will not only enable students become computer savvy but teach them programming skills and other abilities that are a must in the Information Age.

Sports and co-curricular activities

Peculiar International School recognizes the need to nurture talent in students from an early age.

It inspires them to take on the challenges of life and exhibit the spirit of competition and sportsmanship. Students are encouraged to perform not only at school level but also at the national and international levels.

In the quest to develop happy, healthy well-rounded children, the Sports Department plays a very significant role in not only nurturing the students talents on the sports field but also in developing all facets of the students personality.

Peculiar International School has more than a fair share of young achievers. Be it in the field of athletics and sports, our students continue to make a mark all over the world.

Library

The school library offers learning services, books and resources that enable all members of the school community to become critical thinkers and effective users of information in all formats and media.

Transportation

Safety of the children and a comfortable journey, to and fro, are important aspects of PIS’s transport facility. Our vehicles are provided with seat belts for security, along with male security wardens to help manoeuvre with ease and safety.

The Global Positioning System (GPS) installed in the buses tracks all vehicles through the day. This remarkable technological device maintains a record of the location and time of the vehicle, which can be referred to when necessary.

With this, we are also able to monitor the time spent at every pick-up and drop point, which further helps prevent recurring delays. The Route Charts are made available to parents while applying for school bus facility.

Boarding Facilities

There are two separate Boarding Houses for Boys’ and Girls’. Each boarding house accommodates 30 students on twin or three- sharing basis in spacious, well-ventilated rooms.

Each child is under the able guidance and individual supervision of qualified, skilled, teaching / residential staff taking care of his/her emotional and pastoral well being. PIS is a Residential-cum- Day School where Boarding homes plays a key role in the overall development of children staying away from their homes.

In all respects, it is a second home away from home, enabling the boarders to use it as a springboard to success and a stepping stone to enter the world with confidence, dignity, sportsman spirit and wisdom.
