Dear Parents and Guardians,

We welcome you all to Peculiar International School’s (PIS) website. We believe this site will provide you with answers to some of the pertinent questions you might be asking when it comes to looking for a school which provides quality education for its learners.

At PIS, we train students to be independent learners, we make them understand that, even though there are highly skilled and motivated workforce who are ready to help them progress and excel both academically and socially, they (Learners) also have roles to play to make their progress complete.

Our school provides a positive and supportive atmosphere for all our students to help them find their bearing in life, we recognize the fact that we provide basic education which means that most children define their educational future with us.

Permit me to explain this further: we take care of children from about a year old right up to adults of about 18 year olds. This means that most learners start their ‘lives in school’ with us, some students leave PIS straight to the University. Friends; we are aware of the enormous responsibility this brings to us and we promise never to fail on that.

As human beings, we will do all we can to help our learners progress and become great achievers in both curricula and extra curricula activities, whilst trusting God to be our ultimate helper.

We run both the Ghanaian and British (Cambridge) curricula. She continues to work tirelessly to equip and improve what the pupils and students learn in their classrooms,
as she believes this is the key to the child’s future academic achievement. She was the Deputy Director of Training in the Controller and Accountant General’s Department from 2005 to 2006 and the Accounts officer in the same Department from 1995 to 2004. One can trust that everything she shares with her community is based on her personal experiences as an educator and a mother. It is her aim

that every child receives a higher level of education which has led her to fund a number of underprivileged
children’s education from the basic level through to the tertiary levels both in Ghana and abroad. Her good work and amiable personal qualities can be summarized thus: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” (Proverbs31:29)
Mrs. Osei-Asemani is a wife and a mother of three children.

Mrs. Naomi Osei-Asemani has been the CEO and Director of Peculiar International School
since 2001 till date, with the responsibilities of managing and directing the day-to-day affairs of the school as
well as managing staff and the finances of same. Through her innovativeness, Peculiar International School now runs curricula from three separate educational systems. These are the Montessori system, Cambridge Primary, IGCSE and Advanced Level as well as the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum.

Mrs. Osei-Asemani is a passionate educationist who holds Post Graduate Diploma in Education, Master of Arts in Leadership Innovation and Change and Master of Philosophy in Religious Studies
